i am efiling a return for an immigrant (his first year) and received code 16 which says
“According to the Canada Revenue Agency’s records, your client is filing a tax return for the first time. Please indicate this in the software and include your client’s first name, second name and last name.”
where to include that in taxcycle?

There is a box to check that they are a first time filer.
Yes, just spoke with the most unprofessional taxcycle support agent whom mentioned it under the filing section on the info tab.
after checking that the efile went through.
i found that code 16 is a new code from CRA for 2023. never checked that box on previous years.
