I agree with everyone to modify the donation worksheet to simulate the medical worksheet with percentage allocation. It would also be nice if the medical expense worksheet would have some sort of warning if expenses are claimed for clients with a DTC. I accidently claimed unacceptable expenses end e-filed. Although I was able to make the correction (allocated to spouse) and refiled, if there would have been some sort of warning/flag it would not have happened.

TaxCycle program:

For option A - autmatically cap at $10,000 or $20,000 in year of death.

For option B - disable DTC.
