Default AuthRep status for new T1

Now that the AuthRep form in the T1 module is rarely useable, can we get a selection in the Options Profile to set the default value for the authorization field {{CurrentClient.T1013.Consent.TypeOfConsent}} for new T1s to “already on file”? Or is there another way to accomplish this?

Yes! Thanks for suggesting… great idea for all our new clients!

But if it is a new client it would not be on file necessarily.

Are suggesting other choices that make more sense?.

“Added by client on MyAccount.” or “Authorized by signature page upload” or something along those lines.

@Arliss

I wouldn’t care if TaxCycle changed the wording. I just want not to have to open this page and SET it to that value manually. When I take on a new client, the first thing I do is get them to authorize my firm - either via their MyAccount or by using the form via RAC. Then I open TaxCycle and put in their name, address, etc. Then I want to do the AFR, but TaxCycle won’t do it until you tell it that you have been authorized. I want the option to set that as default.

Thaty makes sense to have that as an option I guess. I like it reminding me I don't have access yet.

I would like that too.

Already on file will works for me.

If it try to Autofill and it doesn’t work then I know I need to follow up. I am instructing new clients to add me themselves if they can, so hopefully they did their part by the time i start on the return.
