Are we able to Efile T3 Returns or not?

I am using TaxCycle version 14.1.55777.0

Yesterday I completed a Graduated Rate T3 return for an estate that is reporting interest income and rental income. No capital gains whatsoever. I have no diagnostic or review flags at all, the tax calculation is accurate…everything seems ready to go.

When I try to print the return I get the dreaded “printing forbidden” popup. It basically says that if you are attempting to file an estate that uses pages 1,2,3, or 4 (which is every T3) then I should not attempt to file the T3.

My understanding is that T3 returns were able to be Efiled as long as they were not reporting capital gains or losses.

You are right, there shouldn’t be any issues with filing T3’s at the moment, as long as they don’t have capital gains (which you also mentioned).

Thanks for bringing this one to our attention, I’ve reached out to you over email to get a bit more info.

To the wider community, if you run into T3 issues where there are no CG’s please send us an email at info@taxcycle.com so we can help!

Hi everyone, there was an issue with the printing settings under a specific scenario with this one. The T3 return as a whole is working as expected.

We are working on a fix for the printing issue, and will confirm when its out for this.

Thanks
Aaron

Are the T936 forms also set to be fixed for this issue on T1s? I can file the returns, since the income is only from T5 from their own corporations, but the form doesn’t print when we send the digital copy after filing.

The T936 preview has been removed on the release that went out at 330 pm MST today.

Thanks Aaron. Weird that when I click the check for updates now button it says I am UpToDate. I guess I just need to install from scratch.
