I’m trying to produce a T5 for a corporate client. The T5 payer is the corporation and the recipient is the sole shareholder (owner). I’m filing through CRA Represent a Client under Information Returns – RZ0001.

The recipient type is set to Individual, but I’m getting the following error message, which is very strange.

I’ve never had to enter this information before and this isn’t a financial institution so I’m not sure why it’s being requested.

Type 8 times zero in both boxes.

This won’t cause any issues on CRA’s end?

It won’t cause a problem - as you have indicated in the past it wasn’t required and it still isn’t.
