T183 & T1013 signing dates

It is my understanding that a signed T1013 is only valid for 60 days after the signing date. At any point after that, a newly signed and dated T1013 would be necessary.

Does anyone know if there is any such requirement about a T183?

From the horses’ mouth. As such, pre-signed T183’s are a no no.

Remember the “Good Old Days” Bert when you could order those pads of blank T183’s directly from the CRA? I think they came in “glue top” pads of 50 or 100 sheets. You could get the client to sign the T183 and write the figures in after the return was competed.

lol

we always did things legally, don’t sign till return complete, and don’t file until you have signature…

who am I kidding?

T1013 are valid for 6 months after signing date. No exp. for a signed T183 with the consideration return was Efiled after document was signed.

CRA may be watching you Bert:grinning:

Thanks so much @BertMulderCGA - this is exactly the primary source that I was looking for.
