Refund/balance owing (T1s) vs Balance owing (T2s)

Would it be possible to have these little windows (which I love!) be formatted similarly?!

I get messed up every tax season when I do a T2 that has a refund, thinking that they have a balance owing when I see this, especially since it is in red! I wish it was displayed like the T1s that makes it more obvious!

Thanks for considering my (possibly) crazy request!

@Amy this is not a crazy request. They could even add a smiley face when showing a refund. Cameron likes those!

  1. Right click the amount in the data monitor, choose “edit”
  2. Make whatever changes you want
  3. Click OK

Yes, you can make this change in your current Data Monitor. As noted above, if you right-click on the monitor, you can then edit the fields to format it how you like. The example below will show “Federal Refund” or “Federal Balance Due” with the Red/Green switch. If you are sharing your Options Profile, you can also customize this in Options under T2>Data Monitors>2025.

You can edit anything you like there…I believe there’s a little tutorial on the website for it.
