Hello All. I have a personal tax client in Quebec. She is also a resident there. I am in Ontario and this is my first Quebec client. I understand there are two separate returns. I use tax prep and am loathe to spend ANOTHER $500 for the Quebec return. On $110,000 of employment income and an $11K RRSP, I anticipate a consolidated refund of $4000. In the meantime, the consolidated refund with a hand-calc Quebec return and the Tax Prep T1 amount to $8,500. Where might I be wrong or should I just pay taxprep their ransom? Sincerely, Vince Dong
I usually use studio tax to do quebec returns. It’s free. They have weird calculations in some places so use a program of some sort.
