Just filed one. No penalty assessed.

Filed on monday, no penalty. Filed on Tuesday should have penalty unless you have a filing error that caused the delay in transmission.

Filed today - no penalty.
Efiled return yesterday May 4th. Client told me she would pay the next day May 5th. Taxcycle’s “estimated” $140.60 late-filing penalty and $1.19 in late filing interest payable to May 5th. All of this is on the client’s cover letter.
NOA downloaded with $4.63 of arrear interest - no mention of late filing penalty…
