I have a file that has an Taxcycle efile error regarding ONBEN. Taxpayer is not applying for OTB or NOEC (does not apply to her) but Taxcycle is indicating that the taxpayer is applying and wants property tax/rental details. I have put review checkmarks at every single line on the form and it won’t clear. Any suggestions?

Presumably there was an entry in the previous year?

If not relevant this year sign off and move on.

Thank-You (OEPTC Box 61020)

This is for Ontario returns. Thank you so much for the most recent update that pre-populates box 61020 presumably if there was data relating to rent or property taxes in the prior year. I have always used a manual memo in that ON-BEN form that says “Remember for next year” so that I wouldn’t forget to enter rent or property tax info for those who may qualify but the newest update flagging a diagnostic message on box 61020 is excellent. I no longer need to use memo’s to help me remember.

There was no entry the previous year. Client does not pay rent or property tax.
I can’t move on…I have signed off on every single box on that form and I can’t clear the warning. I can’t efile because of it. Now have this issue on 3 returns.

I can’t think of anything else as the program is behaving normally for me.
I think you should contact support.
