Do you know anyone who specializes in CRA late fees and penalty relief? A while back I recall seeing a website of a man in Ontario who was once employed as CRA agent in this area. He did not have an accountant designation and works for himself.
There’s Franks HTS consulting, that sounds similar, but its only for GST/HST issues.

I’m familiar with Frank Flynn. He worked in the Peterborough CRA office for many years in collections. He is quite knowledgeable about the CRA internal workings and how you should frame an appeal for interest/penalties. Just remember that these types of appeals are not inexpensive (cost could be $2000 to $2500 but don’t quote me). When engaging someone like this you likely want to be appealing a significant amount of interest or penalty. My experience with Frank is that he is quite easy to deal with and will be very frank with you (no pun intended) about your client’s chances.
