I’m a super fan of TaxCycle, which is why I like engaging and sharing thoughts like this.
I know there has been some hesitation about using AI within the software because of confidentiality concerns, and that makes total sense. I was wondering if it was in the horizon as self hosted or fully local AI models?
I know that many companies now use self-hosted or fully local AI models that keep all data either on their own secure servers or directly on the user’s computer. This avoids privacy issues while still allowing the benefits of modern AI.
These tools can help with development (bug-catching, repetitive coding tasks) and with product features like OCR, classification, or error-flagging—without sending any client info to external cloud
