How did you do this exactly? I just called CRA, and they would not allow me to apply for my client to get the reference number. The agent said it had to be a legal representative or she had to be there with me; authorized rep wouldn’t cut it (I am level 2 for all my clients).
You can apply by phone for your client to obtain the reference number; I recommend after applying by phone to go to RAC and print out the reference number: it is not clear when it is said verbally by the auto agent (cannot determine T from D); via RAC you can also print out the info to give to the medical practitioner.
I see, so you are just going through the automated line and answering as if you are the person with the disability? I thought this was something that could be done via an agent on the general line.
Correct, it is the automated line; answer questions using the touchtone phone buttons; get verbal reference number, but verify at RAC.
