Where can I find UCC amount on previous year return for Uber driver who bought a new car in previous year.
It will be on the “motor” page if it was typed in last year.
I found only CAA amount, couldn’t find UCC
That would be the difference between the original cost and the CCA on the motor page. It doesn’t track that.
So I should take the difference between purchase price and CCA?
Probably. Depends on what it was originally set up as. There may be limitations on the purchase price. Sounds like you have more digging to do.
Class 10.1 for uber
Here is a snippet from one of my 2022 TaxCycle files showing where to find the UCC. As @laurie said, it should be on the MotorVehicle tab. You have to scroll down to Section 3 near the bottom of that page. Note that my client in this example also traded in his old vehicle and purchased a new vehicle, so it should be a close parallel to your situation. Hope this helps.
