T2 Tax return

I have a corporation with a May 31, 2020 year end which has been filed. The company was dissolved on September 14, 2020. Revenue Quebec wants a tax return for the period of June 1, 2020 to September 14, 2020. What is the best way to do this?

Roll forward, then change the end date [Identification Section.]

Mark that this is the final tax year before dissolution [Filing Section .]

Thanks. :heart_decoration:

I suggest you also file a T2 to the date of dissolution and provide a copy of the articles of dissolution to CRA. Otherwise they will be expecting a T2 for the year ending May 31, 2021. Ditto HST.

Actually, when you file to Revenu Quebec, you should also file to the CRA too. Doing both will close the files on both sides.

Whoops, don’t forget to apply for the Clearance Certificate for the corporation if you want everything neatly closed. Though I suspect that it isn’t worth it.
