Self-employed CPP not calculating on net income

Hey folks! For some reason, CPP is not calculating on my client’s net self-employed income. I’m not seeing it on S8 at all, and his net income isn’t showing up. I used TaxCycle years ago, but this is my first year back - thank you!!

Check the date of birth entered first.

Thanks! His DOB is in 1986, and has been entered correctly.

Your best bet is to contact support and they can review how you have your file set up.

a couple of other thoughts…

  • Net Income under $3,500

  • Client was collecting CPP disability benefits; ie there is a 12 in box 21 of T4A(p)

Got it solved! The client’s earnings already had them maxed out on CPP, so there was no further calculation to be done. Thanks all!
