I have a person who is retired, drawing from a long established RRIF, whose CRA statement shows a possible 2025 RRSP deduction of a few hundred dollars and Unused RRSP contribution room of just over a $1000. How is this to be handled prior to completing his tax return for 2025?

“Retired” doesn’t matter….age does..and my assumption is that the retiree is > 72. If the t/p has a spouse who is <72, the t/p can still contribute to the amount of the contribution room into a spousal plan.
