Client certifies amount contributed to spousal RRSP.
This is the only slip/receipt he received from issuer.
Am I correct in adding this amount to his RRSP Contribution Worksheet ?
If you find his name as a contributed, then yes, you need to add this amount to his return.
If Gary makes a spousal RRSP contribution, the contribution is entered on his return but in Linda’s RRSP.
It is based on his limit.
Rules apply when she can take it out without attribution.
