Ontario Health Premium in Bankruptcy

Ontario Health Premium is supposed to be calculated only on the Post-Bankruptcy, but includes the income from the Pre-Bankruptcy. That is, line 1 of the table for the OHP on the ON428, Taxable Income is the total of both the Pre- and Post- Bankruptcy Returns.

It is also calculating on the Pre-Bankruptcy return. (opps!)

Another issue - CPP contributions on self employment earnings are payable in the post-bankruptcy only.

If you want to have them payable in the pre-bankruptcy return, you have to write the CRA following the assessment of both the pre and post.
