A newcomer expected around $1800 when I filed their taxes, but they only received $805. Upon reviewing their NOA, I noticed it states they were not eligible for the full BPA. I found out that the Canadian-source income reported for the period when the taxpayer wasn’t a Canadian resident must make up at least 90% of their net world income. Since the newcomers won’t have any Canadian-sourced income before arriving in Canada, does this mean they aren’t eligible for the full BPA?
