Filing a T3 2022 return

Hi there,

Have a client would like to close the trust created by death of his mom. The estate had just sold the mom’s principle residence, and executor fee been paid (have payroll number). He would like to close it by filing the last T3 return, so he can apply for clearance ASAP. I am just wondering how do I go about filing the 2022 T3 return, as the program only goes up to Dec 2021. And similarly with T4, if payroll account close, a T4 need to be issue within 30 days.

Hi,

The T4 2022 version is already available (See Release 46297) - Note that this has 2022 tax rates with 2021 forms as those forms don’t get updated by the CRA until usually around the fall. For the T3 2022 we will create that new rolled over tax module in mid April with the same caveat being that it will contain any applicable 2022 tax rate adjustments but the 2021 T3 forms.
