When using TaxCycle, i have entered the BN (confirmed to be Federally incorporated) and the jurisdiction as AB.
TaxCycle is asking for AB Corp access number and SIC.
I believe these are non-applicable.
Do I just override?
What about AB Small Business Deduction… claim?
Google tells me that an AT1 is required.
Anything else that is important for Federally incorporated companies?
When you incorporate federally and start business in Alberta, you need to register here provincially and obtain CAN (corp access number) with which you can file Alberta Corp Tax Return i.e. AT1, since in Alberta you need to file a separate return and pay provincial taxes under your CAN unlike ON/BC/MB where no provincial returns are filed separately.
