DCPP how do we claim it

Okay, So I just had a client email me asking about DCPP. So his company used to use RRSP and has now moved everyone to DCPP and they said they will not be issuing any paperwork to file. So my question is doesn’t he have to claim this amount still? When I looked it up all it says is they can’t exceed the yearly amount of 31K

Thanks in advance for anyone help

Seems RRSP will be reported as contribution. DCPP will be reported as pension adjustments for both employer and employee contributions. As far as I know

Should show up on T4 as RPP contribution. PA number should be equal.

Thank you now that makes sense so hopefully his company has it on his t4

T4 box 20 shows RPP contribution which is employees portion of contrition to DCPP, pension adjustment which is box 52 will include both employer and employee contributions to DCPP also any DBP, DPSP contribution by employer
