Cancelling Direct Deposit on behalf of Deceased Client

My client passed away in 2024 and his widow wants his refund to be paid via cheque as she is unsure what account he had set up under direct deposit. Is this something I can do as a representative?

If I remember correctly; provided the CRA has already been notified of the client’s passing, they automatically cancel the direct deposit and mail a cheque.

I don’t think you need to do anything.
