What I would like is the ability to add (or not add) a blurb like the disposition of a principal residence. I think it would be really helpful if we can have a check box that allows us to choose to put a confirmation in the letter regarding either UHT and/or the trust reporting.
The way I look at it is that we only see some clients once a year and when we ask them to sign the return we go over the client letter with them.
My point is that it would be nice to put a "we confirm⦠" blurb in the letter if we choose to do so. So if we select No to this question, I would be nice to have the option to add or not add the confirmation to the client letter that we donāt have to file a UHT return.
Thank you Elizabeth. Itās too late for me as I just sent out my letter but I added some of the verbiage that @BertMulderCGA listed (in particular the individual and estate reasons).
The truth is Iām not exactly sure how I will handle some of these incidences when/if they arise. @BertMulderCGA do you interpret the last point in estate planning reasons to include joint bank accounts?
