@taxcycle any update on your certification by CRA?

Hi Paul,
We are working to get our certified release for T1/TP1 and T3 out by 5 pm MST today.
We are certified, and plan on having the release out today.
Aaron
I downloaded the full release today (Saturday), performed the indexing, but the result was too unstable to function.
Carried forward files crashed the software, sometimes auto-save. Sometimes not.
I did manage too complete a ‘new ‘ file afterwards several crashes but was unable to print.
Unfortunately help desk not open weekends ‘till next week.
Anyone else with issues?
Yup.. having problems .only downloaded this new version today.
My news is magically gone and now I cannot even download AFR..
Standalone computer.. I made no changes.. Oh friggy
FWIW, and not trying to diminish your issues with the new release, but I have not had any issues with it personally other than I would like finalized business and rental schedules.
I am not seeing the problems you are having. Monday i just have to file the returns
Same here. No issues.
Fine for me also.
@Arliss Agree…and I have many clients for whom I’m not using CCA…either because there’s no new Asset purchase or there’s no need for CCA…@taxcycle Couldn’t the “Preview Mark” be removed from the actual T2125, T776…etc?
Has there been any updates on why it is February 24th and there are still Preview watermarks on T2125’s & T776’s?? Pretty sure I can’t be the only one who has multiple files that are ready for submission but have these watermarks on these schedules…….
You are able to file today, as the preview is there mainly for CCA purposes. EFILE would work in the meantime, we are working towards removing the preview from the T2125 and T776 later this week in the next release. The preview will be left on a few forms like the T777 where we are waiting for a final form from the CRA.
That would be because AFR is shut down while CRA does it’s annual update…..
It’s not up to TaxCycle when the Preview marks can be removed - CRA gives certification to each software provider. Then the watermark can be removed.
The problem with the business and rental schedules this year is because Carney and his table of fools decided to change the rules right before tax season started.
When making tax policy, I don’t think “will this inconvenience tax preparers” ought to be a significant concern.
Well, it obviously isn’t. However, if they are looking for accuracy and a few other things like this, it might not hurt if they thought a little further.
