I am preparing some T3’s for a person who passed away in 2013. I am preparing a Dec 31/13 T3 for this estate. The appropriate code in the info section would appear to be 900 “Testamentary - Other”. It is before 2016 so it can’t be a graduated rate estate (“GRE”). However, if I choose 900, the tax is calculated at the highest tax rate. That rule shouldn’t be applicable to testamentary trusts with year-ends before 2016. The tax rates on those T3 returns should be calculated at the graduated rates. Is there something I’m missing?

Figured it out! TaxCycle didn’t start T3’s until 2014 so my 2013 T3 return used the 2017 version. Weird.
