Hey everyone! How do you override Taxcycle to claim a lesser amount of CCA in a T2 return? Thanks in advance.

On the CCA schedule, under “Total CCA for the year”, you will find the question “Do you wish to claim a different amount?”. The default is “No”. Change it to “Yes” and enter your desired CCA in the box to the right.

Go to the S8 Asset schedule and override the rate would work as well.

Thanks so much! I was going crazy trying to find it, it was so small, but the problem is resolved! 🙂

@niina

You can set preferences for how CCA is calculated from the S8Claim worksheet.

In addition to the ability to claim a lower CCA on the S8, you can also adjust CCA on the T2 Optimizations Worksheet.
