# Error code Rep56 when submitting response to T1 review

In responding to a CRA Post assessment review, I am getting error code Rep56

Anyone have idea what this is ?

Case # seems to be ok, put in SIN and hit enter and received this error.

I do not have CRA online Access for this client BUT the review did come directly to me.  
I logged in under Rep a client and click submit documents.

Update to all.

Because I do not have Online Authorization, I cannot upload a response to CRA system

Therefore, I will need to Fax or mail documents.

Seems silly they can send me the letter electronically but I am not good enough to send the reply back to them in the same manner (electronically) .. It is too warm for this foolishness

You certainly have the right term for it. Did you call the efile help desk? Sounds like something unique to your RepID so they should be able to at least tell you the problem.

No I called processing review who referred me to biz line  
. Also called pers tax inquiries.. in end..  
I had several call backs in and was transferred numerous times.

That is the result. This error is related to the fact that I do have online access to taxpayer account.

Has nothing to do with efilng as it is a response to an inquiry I did not call efile help desk.

Yikes. That is crazy. I’ve replied to CRA requests before when I don’t have authorization. To be on the safe side, I just do the reply as if it came from the client and have them sign the letter without my letterhead. It’s all about age-old difficulty getting authorized, though.
