I have a client with over $100k exempt employment income due to working on reserve, and she also has about $50k of income working off reserve that is her taxable income. She has one child that is a dependant and she is single. Tax cycle is calculating that she is eligible for a very high amount of CCB based on the low household income that is taxable. Is that correct? I’d think that her exempt income should be included for other benefit calculations. I don’t want her to get the wrong amount and then eventually have to pay it back. I’m having a hard time finding applicable information online.

Thanks!

Taxcycle is calculating correctly.
