# CCA class for mobile cranes

Hi Everyone, which CCA class should mobile cranes be put? Does section 16.1(1) apply to cranes (election to take CCA on leased assets)? Thanks!

I have cranes in Class 10 - just went through an audit and he was fine with them there.  
They don’t fit in Class 16 as they are not “freight trucks” - those are your common semi trucks.  
He struggled with it, but finally agreed that Class 10 was the “most appropriate” class for them.

Grain of salt suggested - there just isn’t a clear answer in the CRA website
