It would be nice to have the option of creating 2016 T3 as well as the existing ability to create 2015 T3 from the T1 at this point in time. Not a biggie but it would be nice.
This comes to mind again as I create a 2017 year end T3 from a T1 and have to use the work around. Again it would be nice if we have the option of current year of the T1 or the next year.

Also work around appears to not to work at the moment. I guess it is back to some manual keying.
I still think this would be a nice feature to add.
Maybe some likes will generate some traction!
Sounds like it would be useful, we will look at adding it in to an upcoming release.
